To participate in Umoja, you will need to:
Connect a wallet. Click the "Get Started" button and choose from these 2 options:
Connect your crypto wallet (or get one).
Connect using Coinbase´s Smart Wallet (which is easier for non-crypto experts to use).
Accept the Terms of Use.
Connect your wallet.
Fund your wallet. You will need a small amount of ETH to pay transaction fees (gas fees) and USDC (or BTC/cbBTC) available to put as collateral in Umoja´s strategies.
Not familiar with crypto? We recommend you use the Coinbase´s Smart wallet as your preferred option to connect to Umoja. This Smart wallet lives in your browser, so no extensions or app installs are needed. Use passkeys to sign and interact with Umoja´s dApp without needing to manage gas fees directly.
Fund your wallet directly from your crypto wallet (e.g., if you are using Metamask)
Or, with Coinbase´s Smart Wallet: click your avatar on the top right corner to display the "Fund Wallet with Coinbase" button. This option will lead you to Coinbase´s Onramp flow.
Click your avatar on the top right corner to disconnect your wallet from the dApp, protecting your assets and information.
The navigation bar enables you to explore the different sections of the Umoja Protocol:
$UMJA section: Access the different ways to get your $UMJA tokens: Stake, Swap, unlock your Airdrop tokens, or claim your vested tokens.
$yBTC: access the Smartcoins section, where you can Mint/Burn $yBTC.
Stake $UMJA: quick access to the governance pool to stake $UMJA, earn Bitcoin ($yBTC), and build voter influence within the protocol.
Docs section: quick access to all of our documentation on Gitbook.
At the top of the site, you can check the latest information about the Protocol performance:
Notional: indicates the total transaction value for all Umoja Synth Puts and Synth Calls made by all the protocol users, expressed in U.S. dollars.
$yBTC APY: indicates the average BTC-denominated weekly APY for $yBTC.
At the end of the bar, you can see the "Get Started" button:
(visible if your wallet is connected): access your portfolio dashboard.
This is where you can connect a wallet that will give you access to enhanced features, including a that displays user-specific transaction data.
