How to Stake $UMJA
Governance pool
Stake your $UMJA tokens to get $yBTC smartcoin rewards and non-transferable $UMO tokens, which grant voting power for proposals via Snapshot (coming soon).
Follow these steps to stake your $UMJA tokens to the Governance Pool:
Visit http://umoja.xyz/stake
Connect your wallet.
Select the “Stake” option.
Enter the amount of $UMJA you want to stake in the governance pool in exchange for $UMO (governance token).
You will see your $UMJA balance amount at this moment. (There is no minimum amount to Stake. The maximum amount you can stake depends on your $UMJA available balance).
You can click on the word "MAX" to add the maximum amount of $UMJA you can stake.
Click on "Stake".
Confirm your transaction in your crypto wallet.
You will see a confirmation message with a link to the Portfolio dashboard where you can check your transaction details.
Staking $UMJA will earn you non-transferable governance tokens and smartcoin rewards. $UMO rewards depend on the duration of your staking period and are calculated using an exponential [reward curve/decay function]. If you change the staked amount, your time-based exponential timer will be reset, but you will not lose the $UMO tokens you have already accrued."
Follow these steps to unstake your $UMJA tokens from the Governance Pool:
Visit http://umoja.xyz/stake
Connect your wallet.
Select the “Unstake” option.
Enter the amount of $UMJA you want to unstake from the Governance pool.
You can check your $UMJA balance amount at this moment. (There is no minimum amount to Unstake. The maximum amount you can unstake depends on your $UMJA available balance).
You can click on the word "MAX" to add the maximum amount of $UMJA you can unstake.
Click on "Unstake".
Confirm your transaction in your crypto wallet.
You will see a confirmation message with a link to the Portfolio dashboard where you can check your transaction details.
Transaction Listing page
To keep track of all your Stake and Unstake Transactions, go to the dashboard section and navigate to the Assets Transactions page.
Your Stake and Unstake transactions will be listed there if they were Successful. You can use the filter to allocate a specific transaction by its type and click on the top of the particular row to see a detailed view of the transaction.
Assets balance and Rewards
Visit your Portfolio dashboard page and look into the Assets section to consult your tokens balance:
$UMJA
This is the amount of $UMJA that you have accrued so far (from minting Smartcoins, buying $UMJA or receiving Airdrops rewards). You can Stake this amount of balance or part of it into the Governance Pool to earn $UMO and $yBTC as an APY.
$UMO
This is the amount of non-transferable unit of voter influence rewarded from staking $UMJA into the Governance Pool. This voter influence can be used on Snapshot to vote on protocol polls or proposals. Learn more. (Coming soon).
$yBTC
This is the amount of $yBTC you have (from minting Smartcoins or staking $UMJA into the Governance Pool. $yBTC can be staked for an additional performance rebate (Coming soon).
How to claim your $yBTC Rewards
Visit your Portfolio dashboard section
Click on the "Claim rewards" link to discover the amount of $yBTC tokens you are being rewarded from staking the Governance Pool.
Click on the "Claim" button
Confirm the transaction in your crypto wallet.
Check how your $yBTC balance has increased.
